After buying an 86 LG TV I noticed the provision for mounts that would support the size and weight of the TV better than a conventional mount. Although they are not advertised I finally find LGs offering for these mounts. Im very pleased with the mounts
The kit is well made with sturdy parts and plenty of flexibility to work around stud locations in the walls. The flip up hinge is a nice way to prop up the TV while you make connections.
I would suggest planning accordingly in that the TV is extremely close to the wall The challenge is wire routing or external component connections. There is a recess in my TV where the connections are made that allow breathing room for cables.
One thing to note: Its not clear in the instructions but you have to engage the magnets in the mount to keep the TV from popping up as the 1 star review commented. Lift slightly and press on the edge of the screen and you will hear the magnet engage.

The review should be a 5 for LG products but is a 1 because of service. I ordered this mount for the new LG TV that I just purchased but I returned it unopened because my 15 year old LG mount worked fine. LG received the mount 3 weeks ago and after many phone calls my credit card has not been credited. This is my second LG TV and I have other LG appliances but Im not sure that I want to do business with a company that does such a poor job at service even though your products are first rate.

Nice slim fit and pretty easy to install. A couple of minor nitpicks. The instructions showed hex heads on the mounting screws but the ones included were flat head Philips head screws. I bought some hex head screws as they are much easier to install and remove no chance of stripping the Philips head.
Secondly the design of the mounting bracket didnt allow me to install the tv exactly where I wanted due to the location of the studs on my wall. It would be nice if they were a few inches longer to provide some more flexibility.
All that said Id buy it again.

Bought this for my 86 LG TV and I couldnt be happier. Not only was it much cheaper than any aftermarket mount it was also easy to install and I love the low profile look and the ease of access to the wires if i need to. The only issue i had was the power plug isnt angled so i had to get a recessed outlet. But other than that i love it

I had my LG QNED85UQA tv mounts professionally installed and once I let go of the tv the bottom portion of the tv would swing away from the wall. In order to get it to stay against the wall we had to keep pushing the bottom of the tv back against the wall. I am waiting for a email from LG about how to return these defective mounts. I had to instead install a universal mount.

This mount really should be included in the box. They didnt have it at Best Buy. I didnt like waiting days to mount my new tv. On the bright side it mounts closer to the wall than some low profile mounts and costs about the same. Very well built. Its hinged to pull the bottom of the TV away from the wall for wires. No strings to pull to unlock.

This is literally the reason Im probably going to return this TV. What kind of absolute BS is this from what I can tell in the description and in the video that I watched about installation these mountains dont even provide you the ability to tilt the TV in anyway. Whoevers idea this was needs to be fired.
