We recently realized the humidity in our home was greater than previous years and we needed to reduce and control it. After research and reviews we determined that the LG Puricare 50 was the correct tool so we ordered it. After running it for only a day and a half we found we could keep the humidity at any level we needed and it works perfectly. Easy to set up and use. Have been using this every day for about 2 weeks in a very damp finished carpeted basement. Working great to pull out moisture and keeping basement dry. Damp odor gone. Only issue is that I have sometimes had a slightly difficult time removing the full bucket without splashing some water on the floor. Other than that I love this dehumidifier. Not very loud and does not generate as much heat as previous unit. I really need to try to empty it before it gets almost full. But it is a workhorse and Im not complaining.

Most of the case is steel instead of plastic. This is a well-designed and well-built machine. The quality is superior to other brands. It has worked perfectly since I received it. I chose this brand because my LG cell phone was of such high quality that it seemed unbreakable.

I purchased this in September 2021. It looked fine when it arrived. After a few months of use the front and back of the cabinet have separated leaving a 1/2 inch gap. The gap is exposing internal electronics - a finger or implement can be inserted into the electrical components posing a danger. Dust or debris can enter it. The top electronics control panel is unstable. Even though under warranty LG will not repair or replace saying this issue is cosmetic. LG DOES NOT STAND BEHIND ITS PRODUCT.

I bought it 2 weeks ago and it removed more than 2 Gallons of water everyday since then I did not realized the level of humidity in my house.
The bucket is well engineered it is very easy to remove and put back this is a plus when you have to empty the bucket at least twice a day.

I bought this because of its energy efficiency. It uses 535 kwh compared to my older model which used 680. It is also very easy to use and quiet to run. I ca always trust LG. I also have an LG refrigerator and washer and dryer.

A couple of times when my husband was cooking on the gas stove the light turned from blue to red. So I know it detected odors.

Got this in August after our 9 year old Dehumidifier died lost its refrigerant charge Saw many brands and after doing the research determined this might be the best replacement of our 8 year old dehumidifier. It arrived 3 days later and it weighs significantly less than the old one. After it was plugged in and turned on within 3 minutes it was condensating and filled the bucket in 5 hours. So it really works and it fills twice a day. Its quiet in operation and its very effective at humidity removal.
